STEP OUT: WALK TO FIGHT DIABETES IN HOUSTON AND THE WOODLANDS

November is American Diabetes Association Month!

 

 

Please check out our up and coming posts about events going on this month.

Our first event is to Wrap the Galleria Tuesday, November 16th at the Galleria Ice Rink at 10:00am. Don’t forget to wear red!

Next will be our Step Out and Walk to Fight Diabetes on Saturday, November 20th at Minute Maid Park or North Shore Park in The Woodlands.

STEP OUT: WALK TO FIGHT DIABETES IN HOUSTON AND THE WOODLANDS

Your American Diabetes Association (ADA), families, friends and co-workers in and around the Houston area will join in a nationwide campaign to raise money to help fund diabetes research, education and advocacy.

Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes is the ADA’s largest annual fundraising campaign. Every fall,thousandsofpeoplejoininthefightagainstdiabetesbywalkingandrunningin the family friendly non-competitive walk and run.

7:30 AM – Registration/Check-in Begins 8:30 AM – 5K Run Begins 9:00 AM – 3K Walk Begins Family Health and Fitness Festival immediately follows run and walk

You know someone with diabetes! Over 23 million children and adults in the U.S. have diabetes – and 1/3 of them don’t know it. Every 21 seconds someone in this country is diagnosed with diabetes. If current trends continue, 1 in 3 children born today will develop this chronic disease in their lifetime. Please join us and support Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes and help us support diabetes research, advocacy, youth initiatives and education.

Registration is now open! The first 500 people to donate $25 at registration will receive an ADA drawstring backpack!!!
