Diabetes is an urgent health problem in the Hispanic/Latino community, with 12.8 percent of the Hispanic/Latino population living with diagnosed diabetes in the U.S. During Hispanic Heritage Month, the Association is calling on people with type 2 diabetes to increase their physical activity and eat healthier to manage their type 2 diabetes and help prevent serious complications.
